You have collected the data. Or almost collected it. Or already collected it but don't know which statistical method fits your particular study design. Statistics is taught little in medical schools and, in practice, almost not at all. A scientific supervisor cannot always help specifically with data analysis. And the cost of an error is high: a reworked dissertation, a rejected article, lost time.
